The Yayoi Kusama Museum, a museum dedicated to world-renowned avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, will open in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward on October 1st. From the opening day until February 25, 2018, the museum will host an inaugural exhibition titled "Creation is a Solitary Activity; Love Is the True Approach to Art." The museum was established by Yayoi Kusama with the goal of contributing to the development of Kusama's art and art in general through the exhibition of her works and related materials. In addition to exhibitions showcasing her collection twice a year, the museum also plans to hold lectures and other events. The museum aims to convey the messages of "world peace" and "love for humanity" that Kusama has repeatedly advocated through her work. The opening exhibition, which will begin on October 1st, will feature her latest painting series, "My Eternal Soul." Due to limited capacity, tickets must be reserved in advance.
