To celebrate the release of her first autobiography, "Just Kids," and her poetry collection, "Signs of Innocence," New York punk queen Patti Smith will hold a talk and book signing event at Tower Records Shibuya and Daikanyama T-Site in January 2013.

"Just Kids" is a memoir of Smith's youth set in New York, chronicling the 20 years from her meeting with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe to their separation. It depicts the era when art and music intersected, including her interactions with key figures of 1960s and 1970s counterculture, including Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Andy Warhol, and Salvador Dalí. "Signs of Innocence" contains 28 poems filled with tender reflections on loved ones, including her late husband and younger siblings. :
