Dec 10, 2012

Isetan Shinjuku will host an archive exhibition of 25 pairs of shoes, tracing the 25-year history of Ann Demeulemeester, titled "ANN DEMEULEMEESTER - 25TH YEARS 25 SHOES." The exhibition will run from Wednesday, January 9th to Thursday, January 17th, 2013. Ann Demeulemeester's ever-popular shoes are an important part of the designer's collection. This exhibition will explore the history of the shoes, along with models that she has a special attachment to. Two of these models will also be released as reissues. The long boots, crafted from black leather, are designed to symbolize Ann's style, which encompasses strength and elegance. They are priced at 141,750 yen and 144,900 yen, and both styles are available in sizes 35 to 39. Ann Demeulemeester is a Belgian designer. An early graduate of the Royal Academy of Antwerp, he was part of the "Antwerp Six" (also known as the Antwerp Six) along with Walter Van Beirendonck, Dirk Van Seyne, Dries Van Noten, Martin Margiela, and Dirk Bikkembergs, and helped to usher in the golden age of Belgian designers. He founded the brand with Patrick Robin in 1985 and has participated in Paris Fashion Week since 1992. His style has enduring popularity in Japan, and in 2006 he opened his second directly managed store in the world, after the one in Antwerp, in Omotesando Hills.
