"Plantica Nomadic," a solo exhibition by the flower art unit "Plantica," led by Takashi Kimura and Tadahisa Oguri, will be held at the Pola Museum Annex in Ginza, Tokyo, from December 19th. This will be their second exhibition since their 2008 solo exhibition at Rocket Gallery, and their first large-scale solo exhibition. Inspired by the theme of "nomadic" (meaning "nomadic"), this exhibition will feature photographs of floral arrangements taken throughout the Kanto region, as well as works using driftwood. Formed in 2007 with the concept of "adding new layers to traditional flower arranging," Kimura made waves in 2009 when he appeared in a Uniqlo commercial. Their work has included installations at fashion house receptions, kabuki theater performances, the Fiat Cafe, and the BMW Group Studio. Her activities are not limited to Japan; her work has been featured in the French plant-focused design magazine "Bloom Magazine," she has been introduced as an artist in "Colors," published by United Colors of Benetton, and she has also directed the floral arrangements for the Four Seasons Hotel in China, spreading Japanese flower culture overseas.
