Yoshio Kubo presented its Spring/Summer 2013 collection at the National Stadium. The runway began with a live DJ playing in the background, inspired by designer Yoshio Kubo's hometown of New York. "I want to be a brand specializing in textiles," Kubo said, and the collection showcased a variety of styles in a variety of colors and textures, including satin, lace, and scarf prints. The colors mixed deep shades like red, purple, blue, and black with brighter hues like lemon yellow. The collection featured a wide variety of styles, from tailored to streetwear, sportswear, and military styles. Accessories included rider jackets with only the front exposed and double-breasted jackets. The mix of black and white models, along with clown makeup, bold mohawks, and vibrant hair colors, represented the diverse community of New York.
