On July 12th, 3.1 Phillip Lim hosted a one-day DJ event featuring model Kozue Akimoto at their pop-up store, 3.1 Phillip Lim MICROCOSM, located in Center Park on the third floor of the main building of the Isetan Shinjuku store.

Since March 2014, the brand has been promoting the brand's values and designer Lim's worldview in five separate events based on the concept of "MICROCOSM," or "microcosm." This fourth event was themed "Industrial Rave" (a music event with dance music played all night long), and will run until August 12th.

To commemorate the start of this themed event, the store hosted an "Industrial Rave Party," inviting model and former yokozuna Chiyonofuji's daughter Akimoto as a special DJ for a live performance. A special DJ booth was set up at the venue, and shoppers enjoyed the rave scene created by her and the DJ supporting her while sipping on drinks served at the venue amid loud rock and metal dance music.
