This series introduces spring/summer makeup tips from the SS14 runway. Our second installment is from New York's 3.1 Phillip Lim.

To match the holographic eyewear, the makeup also focused on iridescent (polarized) textures. The eyes were given a sparkle with a pale pink highlighter stick, along with icy blue and gold glitter. Depending on the light and angle, the eyes take on a rainbow-like glow, creating a futuristic look.

Polarized pearls softly cover blemishes and dullness, and when applied to the under-eye bags, they create the illusion of larger, more moist eyes. However, using too much can create a glaring impression, so we recommend layering them in small increments to achieve a more even look.

By using a subtle eyeliner and focusing on a natural, translucent base makeup, a healthy look is created, as if the light is reflecting off the surface of water. A pale purple lip gloss was applied loosely around the mouth. Her nails are rose gold.

Makeup products used include Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, The Multiple, Concealer Stick, Duo Eyeshadow, Cream Eyeshadow, Single Eyeshadow, Brow Perfector, Larger Than Life Lip Gloss, and Nail Polish N (all NARS).
