
TOM FORD has opened a pop-up shop for its iconic "ALIX" bag series at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku main building. It will be open until July 29th. This is the brand's first time hosting a pop-up at The Stage.
The ALIX series has been beloved as the brand's iconic bag since the brand's women's line arrived in Japan in the fall of 2012, featuring a large zipper and ribbed key lock. Making its debut this time is the new ALIX box-type "ALIX BOX" (180,000 yen). This item will be sold exclusively at the Isetan Shinjuku store.
The "ALIX MEDIUM/ALIX SMALL" (from 180,000 yen) comes in a wide variety of materials, including leather, suede, panther print, and cheetah print. These versatile bags can be used as handbags, clutches, or shoulder bags, smartly storing items like an iPad. The shop's striking design features a large ring in the center of a black-themed space, with ALIX bags displayed within. Other items on display on stage include a shoulder bag with the "TF" lettering, which also appeared on the brand's AW14-15 runway, and new wallets in gray, muted pink, and red. All of these new items will be available for pre-sale on The Stage. During the same period, the promotional space on the first floor of the main building will feature Tom Ford eyewear. Since its launch in 2007, sunglasses featuring the best-selling "X Bridge" will be on display, as well as sunglasses with the designer's initial "T" on the side.
