This is the 2015 Spring/Summer pre-collection for TOGA PULLA. Designer Yasuko Furuta represents the brand's shift from showcasing its collection to the pre-season. This season's theme is 1970s hippie and folklore influences. Printed textiles, combining nostalgic patterns, are emblematic of the theme. The collection also features striking use of materials, including items woven with faux leather tape and tops made from knitted synthetic cord. The unique use of materials also creates eye-catching layering. Examples of clever details include a series featuring laser-cut floral-embossed faux leather layered with a different fabric underneath, and a cardigan with a sheer knit and leather rider's jacket front. The popular shoe line, TOGA PULLA SHOE, combines the clothing theme with iconic Western-style metalwork. The collection includes clogs, sandals, and pumps that incorporate handcrafted elements such as leather engraving and stitching. The sneaker sandals, which sold out immediately last season, are now available in vinyl.
