Steven Meisel captures Coach Spring/Summer 2015: elevating a timeless scene to cinematic beauty

Mar 2, 2015

COACH will launch two campaigns in Spring 2015. For one of these, Steven Meisel has unveiled the campaign visuals for its Spring 2015 collection.

Following on from his global campaign for Fall/Winter 2014-15, Steven Meisel has been chosen to photograph the campaign. The setting is the nostalgic landscape of American suburbia. The seven models, including Binx Walton and Valery Kaufman, represent the next generation of fashion, and Meisel has helped them blend seamlessly into the landscape. The result is a mysterious visual in which unconventional, cool girls blend seamlessly with a traditional world.

As with the previous season, the visuals are laid out against the skyscrapers of New York at dusk, paying homage to Coach's heritage in the city. The campaign was designed by Baron & Baron, led by creative director Fabien Baron. The campaign was supported by an all-star team, including stylist Karl Templer, makeup artist Pat McGrath, and hair designer Guido Palau.

At the campaign launch, executive creative director Stuart Vevers commented, "Even the most mundane scenarios can be transformed with cinematic beauty. Steven has captured hypernormality with his exceptional artistic eye and has brilliantly created advertising images that embody this vision."
