COACH and Californian artist Gary Baseman debuted their Spring 2015 collection at the Parisian boutique colette. Baseman, a Californian artist active in a wide range of fields, from drawing and painting to theater, dance, music, and fashion. Using aesthetic rawness and childlike imagery, his work explores complex themes such as the human soul and the bittersweet beauty of life. For this collaboration, Baseman has created the "LeFave" collection of 10 adorable yet mischievous creatures. They humorously adorn bags, leather jackets, T-shirts, charms, jewelry, and more. Colette will be releasing 15 limited-edition handbags. An exhibition of Baseman's work, "The Secret Society," will be held in-store until the 31st. The exhibits will include original artworks, never-before-seen drawings and paintings. Furthermore, during the exhibition period, the "LeFave Altar" will be displayed in the shop window. This spring collection will be available in Japan from mid-February at Coach Ginza, Coach Omotesando, Coach Shinjuku, Coach Umeda Herbis, and the online shop.
