The commercial facility "Tokyo Garden Terrace" will open in the summer of 2016 on the site of the former Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka.

Dec 16, 2014

The name of the development plan for the former Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka site has been officially decided as "Tokyo Garden Terrace." Part of the business plan has been revealed.

The core of Tokyo Garden Terrace will be a 36-story building, with commercial facilities on the first to fourth floors and a hotel on the 30th to 36th floors. The concept is "an international, mixed-use urban area surrounded by greenery and history." The former Yi Dynasty Tokyo, designated a tangible cultural property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, will be preserved in its original form, while urban development will take advantage of the historic location, the natural surroundings facing Benkei Moat, and the stepped commercial facilities. The opening is scheduled for the summer of 2016.
