"Q Plaza Harajuku" opens on Meiji Dori. Designed by Klein Dytham

Nov 27, 2014

Some details, including the tenant lineup, have been revealed for Q Plaza Harajuku, an urban shopping complex scheduled to open in Omotesando in March 2015. It is being developed by Tokyu Real Estate. Among the apparel stores scheduled to open, one that is attracting attention is the flagship store of Urban Research's new brand, SENSE OF PLACE. The store, which will also feature a cafe and flower shop, will offer trendy items at affordable prices based on the concept of "THE WORLD STANDARD FASHION." Also making its debut in Japan is Warren Tricomi, a hair salon run by Edward Tricomi, the inspiration for the film "Edward Scissorhands." HARMONIE SOLUNA, which spans from the basement to the second floor, is a complex that includes a wedding venue and restaurant. Its open-plan terrace makes it suitable for events and parties. Q Plaza Harajuku is located along Meiji Dori, which connects Omotesando and Shibuya, and will provide a comfortable space that takes advantage of the lush greenery that connects to Meiji Jingu Shrine. The architectural design is handled by Klein Dytham Architects, who also designed Daikanyama T-Site. Beyond the impressive entrance with its brooch-like tree is a terrace where a total of 16 stores, including retail shops and restaurants, will welcome visitors.
