On December 14th, SUPERSENSE launched the "66/6 PINHOLE INSTANT CAMERA" (¥27,593), the world's first pinhole camera since the end of Polaroid film production. Limited to a worldwide release of 500 units, it will be available in Japan at Gallery AM in Harajuku. Only 77 units will be released.
The "66/6 PINHOLE INSTANT CAMERA" features the most primitive pinhole camera design, with a hole instead of a lens. It is said to be extremely rare for a camera that can be loaded with instant film.
The camera features two holes, 0.25mm and 0.35mm in diameter, allowing you to choose the hole to use depending on the lighting and other environmental factors (0.35mm is recommended for shooting in dark environments). Light entering the camera from the front through the hole is reflected by an internal mirror and captured on film.
The flap containing the pinhole can be pulled out into a pyramid shape. The further you extend the pinhole, the more telephoto you can shoot, but the lower the peripheral light intensity, so it's best to experiment until you get used to it.
By the way, when SUPERSENSE, the manufacturer of this camera, tested it, they obtained good results with an exposure time of about 30 seconds to 2 minutes when the pinhole was fully extended.
Once the exposure is complete, close the pinhole to complete the shoot. Press the eject button to print out the image.
The dimensions are 145 x 110 x 30-115 mm (when the pinhole is retracted and extended), and the weight is 298 g. Included items include a USB charger, exposure time calculation chart, and manual.
