Each bookstore will act as a concierge, recommending "must-read books" to FASHION HEADLINE readers. Every Friday, Daikanyama Tsutaya Books (17-5 Sarugaku-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will introduce books selected by the store.
■ "Frederic Cassel's First Sweets Bible"
Frederic Cassel, president of Relais Desserts, a group of elite pastry chefs around the world, reveals his popular recipes for the first time.
This book contains over 30 recipes, including exquisite mille-feuille, traditional French pastries such as Mont Blanc and Paris-Brest, seasonal tarts, and popular entremets made with the finest chocolate.
To commemorate the publication of this book, a talk event featuring Frederic Cassel will be held on September 30th in the event space on the second floor of Tsutaya Books Building 1.
At the event, Cassel will talk about himself and his shop, and will also demonstrate how to make a simple and delicious looking mille-feuille at home. Participants will also be treated to Frédéric Cassel's mille-feuille, and a book signing session will be held after the event. You can participate in the event with a participation ticket that you will receive when you purchase the book at Daikanyama T-Site. Applications are currently being accepted in-store and online. (※Registration will close once the maximum capacity of 50 people is reached.)
