Two popular hot sweets from DOMINIQUE ANSEL BAKERY are arriving in Japan for the first time. They will be available at DOMINIQUE ANSEL BAKERY TOKYO from September 19th.
The cube-shaped "Magic Souffle" (850 yen) is a crispy orange-flavored brioche filled with fluffy chocolate souffle and melted chocolate. It's a dessert that allows you to enjoy three different textures in one bite: crispy, fluffy, and melty.
The lobster tail-shaped "Lobster Pretzel" (850 yen) was inspired by the culture of New Yorkers flocking to Hampton Beach in the summer to eat lobster. Peanut cream and butter crunch are placed inside a pretzel dough bun. It is served with honey butter, which can be torn into pieces with your hands and used for dipping.
In addition, during Silver Week, owner-chef Dominique Ansel, who won the James Beard Award as America's "Best Pastry Chef" in 2014, is scheduled to return to Japan.
