Converse Tokyo launches new line featuring Hiromichi Ochiai of Facetasm

Dec 10, 2015

Converse Tokyo will launch a new men's line, "CONVERSE TOKYO ONE," in Spring/Summer 2016, featuring Hiromichi Ochiai of Facetasm. Featuring Converse's iconic "One Star" as its symbol, the debut collection features stadium jackets, baseball jackets, sweatshirts, and denim, all of which are reminiscent of Ochiai's own wardrobe, while utilizing Facetasm's signature street style. The collection's themes include Tokyo's "transience," "noise," "distortion," and "loneliness." The meticulous mix of elements, from jackets featuring an all-over photo print of Tokyo taken in Shibuya to star-adorned shirts, distressed denim, and leather, is a perfect expression of Ochiai's unique style. A longtime Converse fan and a proven track record in shoe collaborations, Ochiai made a strong presence in the overall collection.

FACETASM has also collaborated with Converse Tokyo Collaboration, a collection of miscellaneous goods created in collaboration with Tokyo's leading artists and creators, and has also developed iPhone cases, bags, pouches and more, featuring illustrator Chocomoo, singer/DJ Yuriya, Milk Boy, NyuNyu, who became famous for their hook-and-loop bags, and accessories brand Nanananana. These will be sold at the Aoyama store, which opened in September this year, among other locations.
