The precariousness of the models walking on the plastic covering laid across the runway was the very theme of the collection. Even before the show began, the audience was discussing when the plastic would be removed, or whether the show would begin without it, but the show proceeded as planned. The "Ambiguous daze in my ambiguous days," the same theme as the men's collection presented in Milan in June, signaled a new direction for FACETASM's women's collection.

On October 12, the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo 2016 Spring/Summer, the FACETASM Spring/Summer 2016 collection was held in a narrow corridor of a building overlooking the Tokyo nightscape. The models walked even closer to the audience than in Milan. The makeup and hair, which seemed to capture a moment in the flow of time, were the work of yUKI and ABE, a duo who have long supported the brand's collections. Designer Hiromichi Ochiai's world is steadily moving along the lines of "Tokyo mode."

The key motifs of the looks throughout the show were expressions of tying, joining, wrapping, knotting, and layering. The ideas presented in the men's collection were finished into feminine, feminine items, with textured checks and striped materials, construction vests with reflective and fluorescent colors, and spiral skirts made from worsted suit fabric that made use of selvedge.

Items inspired by American street casual, such as MA1 jackets, school socks, and leather rider vests, were styled with items featuring delicate details such as Chinese buttons (kung fu buttons), showcasing a new, fashion-forward "side" of FACETASM, with a concept that invites deeper interpretation.
