Ginza Place, a new commercial facility at Ginza 4-chome intersection, to open in summer 2016

Dec 16, 2015

The topping-out ceremony for the Ginza 5-chome Redevelopment Project, which will build a new commercial complex at the Ginza 4-chome intersection in Tokyo, was held on December 14th, and it was announced that the facility will be named "GINZA PLACE." The facility, scheduled to open in summer 2016, will have a site area of approximately 645 square meters and be approximately 56 meters tall, making it the tallest building facing the Ginza 4-chome intersection. The exterior design will feature Klein Dytham Architects' "FRETWORK" motif, expressing the beauty of traditional crafts. The facility's name, "Ginza Place," succinctly expresses its location in the heart of Ginza, a global commercial metropolis, and was chosen with the intention of creating a simple design that would be enjoyable for visitors from Japan and abroad. It also reflects the facility's desire to disseminate diverse information to the world and to serve as a hub for experience and interaction. Specific tenants and other details will be announced at a later date.
