The former Marui City Shibuya has been completely renovated, and the new commercial facility Shibuya Modi (1-21-3 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will open on November 19th.
Shibuya Modi is a lifestyle-oriented commercial facility that offers culture, music, dining, travel, and entertainment facilities, with a focus on not just shopping but also on "learning" and "experience."
The floors span from the basement to the ninth floor. The basement floor houses one of Shibuya's largest travel centers, which includes Plan Qualita, a travel agency run by H.I.S. that offers customized trips. The facility also features a cafe counter serving authentic Sarutahiko Coffee drip coffee. In addition to apparel and miscellaneous goods, floors 1 through 4 feature popular Australian pie shops like Pie Face, the Milanese-famous pizzeria Spontini, natural cosmetics brand Becure Honey Marche, hair accessory boutique STELLAR HOLLYWOOD, rose specialty shop Florist Bon Marche Rosé, and accessory shop Tease's. Floors 5 through 7 are dedicated to "Books & Culture," fully embodying Shibuya Modi's "Intelligent Commercial Space" store concept. HMV's new store format, "HMV & BOOKS TOKYO," will be located here. Event spaces will be set up on each floor, hosting promotional events for new releases, workshops, seminars, and other events based on "participation," "experience," and "experiment." The goal is to create a sales floor where "something new is sure to be discovered." Also located on each floor are "Akarimado Cafe Stand," "Streamer Espresso," and "Lukas Fried Food and Soda." Karaoke Rainbow will open on the 8th floor. In addition to unique and comfortable private rooms, there is also a party space and a live performance studio. It can also accommodate band practice sessions and mini-live performances.
Three authentic restaurants will open on the top floor, the 9th floor. At the oyster bar run by Human Web, the largest oyster bar chain in Japan, you can enjoy safe oyster dishes made with deep sea water. In addition, the cafe dining atari CAFE & DINING offers creative Japanese-style cuisine and homemade sweets with a focus on "healthy" and "well-being."
