The "60th Anniversary Miffy Exhibition," celebrating the 60th anniversary of the creation of Miffy (the bunny) by Dutch picture book author and graphic designer Dick Bruna, will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1 from July 30th to August 24th. Miffy celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2015. To commemorate this milestone, a nationwide touring exhibition is currently being held, and Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1 will be the first to host it. This rare opportunity will see the world premiere of the "First Miffy," drawn in 1955's "Little Bunny," alongside the original artwork from the 1963 second edition, in which Miffy was redrawn into her familiar appearance. The exhibition will also feature approximately 300 exhibits, including oil paintings and original illustrations from Dick Bruna's early years, as well as rare footage of him creating Miffy. More than 400 original merchandise, available exclusively at the exhibition, will also be available for purchase. There will also be merchandise exclusive to the Yokohama venue.
