Valentino will open its first flagship store in Tokyo at Omotesando Hills on July 2nd. The store concept is "palazzo (palace)." An open space combining old and new will be created within the glass architecture of Omotesando Hills designed by Tadao Ando.
To mark the store's opening, a limited edition tote bag (15,000 yen) will be available to support the Kumamoto earthquake victims. Both the material and the stitching are domestically produced, with Okayama canvas featuring Valentino's iconic studs and engraving, and all sales will be donated to Kumamoto Prefecture.

The limited edition tote bag (15,000 yen) is made in Japan. All proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to support the Kumamoto earthquake relief efforts.
The spacious 467 square meters space spanning the first and second floors is brimming with ingenuity and creativity. Materials selected for the building include gray terrazzo (artificial marble), Carrara marble from the Carrara region of Italy, light-grained oak, and brass, which adds a subdued shine to the store. The rounded marble columns connecting the first and second floors also create a striking presence.

The interior of the store is based on the concept of a palazzo (palace)
What's interesting is that the store's floors, wall materials, and fixtures are all made in the same width, known as "345 grid," or multiples of it, creating a balanced and elegant atmosphere. Not a single cord hangs from the floor, and all stock and office supplies are stored behind hidden doors in the walls.
The women's collection is on the first floor. Just inside the entrance, an open space opens up, displaying bags and shoes featuring the brand's iconic stud design. The store will offer a limited-edition "Rockstud Rolling" bag featuring an off-white design with colored stone studs. Beyond this are racks of clothing. A fitting room is located at the very back of the store, featuring cowhide leather, showcasing the store's attention to detail.

First Floor: Women's Floor
The second floor will feature the men's collection. This floor will also offer a permanent denim MTO service (starting at 180,000 yen, with delivery in approximately two months), a first for Japan. Customers can choose the denim material, silhouette, pockets, and studs, and their jeans will be delivered in a navy box adorned with studs. Also, be sure to check out the Off-White sneakers, which will be available first at the store.

2nd Floor Men's Floor
The store was created based on a store concept by British architect David Chipperfield and creative directors Maria Grazia Kiwi and Pierpaolo Piccioli. This is the first Valentino shop in Tokyo to be created using this concept.
