The Hyatt Regency Tokyo's second-floor cafe will be holding a "Summer Noodle Fair" from July 1st to September 22nd, offering three new noodle dishes sure to whet your appetite even in the hot weather.
The "Roast Beef Noodles" (2,500 yen) feature a shrimp soup flavored with black pepper and topped with roast beef made using the cafe's signature recipe. Adding the horseradish topping midway through gives the dish a refreshing flavor, making it the perfect menu item for the hot weather. The "Spicy Meat Miso and Vegetable Noodles" (2,000 yen) is a cafe-style take on Taiwanese mazesoba. The meat miso is based on Chinese soy sauce and red miso, with chili bean paste added for added spiciness. Adding flower bud wasabi adds a refreshing spiciness that will further enhance your appetite, and you can enjoy the remaining ingredients by adding "Thai rice" to finish the meal.
The "Cold Noodles with Shrimp, Abalone, Scallops, and Squid" (2,800 yen) is a luxurious cold noodle dish that allows you to enjoy seafood. The fragrant shrimp broth is topped with plenty of abalone, scallops, and squid, and is served with a sauce made from tomatoes, basil, and olive oil.
In addition, the lounge on the first floor will be serving "Iced Brewed Coffee" (1,200 yen) until September 30th, a new sensation in which the fine foam poured from the server mellows the bitterness and leaves a refreshing aftertaste. Until August 30th, Bar Eau de Vie on the third floor will be serving Hoegaarden White, a pale yellow Belgian beer made from wheat, on tap. Enjoy it with fish and chips, which use the same beer in their batter.
