The pastry shop at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo will be selling limited-time Valentine's Day sweets from late January to February 14, 2016. "Coccinelle" (2,200 yen) is a chocolate treat perfect for Valentine's Day, a festival for lovers, featuring a coccinelle (ladybug) motif, a design once used at weddings. It features a ganache made with lightly burnt caramel, encased in crisp chocolate. It comes in five ladybug-like flavors: strawberry & rose, orange & bergamot, passion fruit & ginger, lime & coconut, and salted caramel & tonka bean. "Bonbon Chocolat" (1,800 yen) is an exquisite chocolate treat for adults, with rich chocolate and a rich whiskey flavor. It is made using four types of whiskey, each paired with a chocolate that brings out the unique characteristics of the whiskey. The whiskeys used include four types of whiskey, including the classic Scotch, Irish, and American varieties, as well as a Japanese whiskey that is currently renowned around the world.
Other sweets on offer include "Sable Chocolat au Lait" (2 pieces for 600 yen), a hazelnut-flavored praline sandwiched between sable chocolate, "Chocolat d'Amour" (2,800 yen), a heart-shaped chocolate that was popular last year, and "Five Kinds of Chocolate Macarons" (1,400 yen), which use chocolate from Italy's Domori, which is favored by chocolatiers and pastry chefs around the world, to express the different aromas depending on the cocoa content and origin of the macarons. Other sweets on offer include "Nama Chocolate" (1,100 yen), "Transche Orange" (600 yen), and "Noir" (2,700 yen).
