The Setagaya Bread Festival, one of Japan's largest bread festivals, will be held on October 9th and 10th at IID Setagaya Monozukuri School, Setagaya Park, Ikejiri Elementary School 2nd Gymnasium, Setagaya Gaya Gayakan, and member stores of the Mishuku 420 Shopping District Association.
The Setagaya Bread Festival is one of Japan's largest bread festivals, held under the concept of "Setagaya is the town of bread." During the festival, approximately 120 stores will open each day, including a variety of bakeries, bread accompaniments, food and drink shops, not only from Setagaya Ward but from all over the country. This year's theme, "Bread and Love," continues with a "Bread Market & Food Court" featuring bakeries from Setagaya Ward and across Japan, as well as popular and hidden gems, and a selection of food and drinks to accompany bread. The "Mishuku Three-Color Bread & Contest" will feature bakeries selling their own special Mishuku Three-Color Bread, a tribute to the "3" in Mishuku, and a grand prize winner. Also, under the production of the Japan Bread Coordinator Association, the entire IID Setagaya Monozukuri School will be transformed into the "Setagaya Bread University," where visitors can learn and enjoy bread. In addition to programs related to "Bread and Love," such as discovering new breads through taste comparisons and pairings, various bread-related workshops and talk shows will also be held. Additionally, a stamp rally will be held at each of the member stores of the Mishuku 420 Shopping District. Collecting stamps will earn you a chance to win limited-edition Setagaya Bread Festival 2016 merchandise. In addition, official character goods will be on sale, as well as official and collaborative goods created in collaboration with bread-loving artists and creators. In addition, live performances by a variety of artists will liven up the Setagaya Bread Festival.
