Pass the Baton collaborates with Kyoto's traditional performing arts to open new shop in Gion

Jan 22, 2015

Select recycle shop PASS THE BATON will open a new store in Kyoto's Gion district this summer. The address is 103-2, Sueyoshicho 77-6, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City.
PASS THE BATON is a select shop that recycles items, cherishing the stories behind each item, such as the profiles and anecdotes of their former owners. In addition to antiques and vintage items sourced from around the world, the store also carries collaborative items created by companies and brands, adding new value to items no longer in use. The store also plans to incorporate new ideas through collaborations with Kyoto's traditional crafts.
The Kyoto Gion store, the brand's third location, will be located in a corner of the Shinbashi Traditional Buildings Preservation District, lined with traditional townhouses. The interior was designed by Masamichi Katayama, the interior designer behind the Marunouchi and Omotesando stores. Taking advantage of the brand's traditional architectural style, the store will create a space that connects the value of items from the past to the future.
