On January 21st, the Isetan Shinjuku store opened a pop-up shop called "New Bally Collection by Pablo Coppola," featuring the reborn Bally brand under new design director Pablo Coppola. The pop-up shop occupies the first floor handbag/promotion section and the second floor shoe promotion space. The highlight is the cherry blossoms blooming in full bloom within the store, even in January. Their pale pink harmonizes with the colors of the Bally 15 Spring/Summer collection. The cherry blossoms were cultivated by plant hunter Seijun Nishihata, who oversaw the decorations, for about 10 years. The Bally pop-up shop brings a touch of spring to the store floors early. The first floor features a lineup centered around the iconic "SOMMET" and "BLOOM" bags. Special items, including the Japan-exclusive "SOMMET" in a small size and the "SOMMET FOLD" in a small size, exclusive to Isetan Mitsukoshi, are available, with more feminine sizing tailored for Japanese women. The second floor features pumps in matching colors with the bags, as well as exclusive metallic sneakers, rain boots, and flexi pumps. The three chairs that add a touch of elegance to the space are vintage Pierre Jeanneret pieces imported from the company's headquarters. Guests can admire the cherry blossoms while trying on shoes. Bally CEO Frédéric de Narp, who visited Japan for the event, said, "I was really looking forward to this event with Isetan Shinjuku. We are planning special items and projects for Japanese women, who have a deep knowledge of luxury goods. Cherry blossoms are a special flower to Japanese people. Cherry trees are deeply connected to culture and tradition." He has lived in Japan. Since its founding in 1851, Bally has offered an effortless, chic style. Pablo Coppola has ushered in a new chapter in the brand's history. In addition to new items, the brand's colors and uniforms were revamped, starting with the London flagship store, and these same designs are being adopted for this event.
"His collection perfectly embodies Bally in terms of excellent design, modernity and functionality. Cherry blossoms are a sign of spring and symbolize rebirth and renewal. The early-blooming cherry blossoms evoke the image of Bally in full bloom," said CEO de Narp. It looks like Bally's magnificent flowers will be in full bloom in Japan.
The event at Isetan Shinjuku will run until the 27th. Afterwards, a similar concept will be held at Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Main Store and Ginza Mitsukoshi from February 4th.
