Mykita's 15th anniversary campaign visuals depict New York through poetry

Jan 22, 2015

MYKITA has unveiled its 2015 campaign visuals.
This year's campaign visuals were shot against the backdrop of New York City. The skyscrapers and linear facades are as beautiful as a poster, capturing the city's new charm.
The photographer, Mark Boswick, who has worked on MYKITA's campaigns for the past seven years, used a Leica analog camera to capture not only the models but also his acquaintances and family against the backdrop of the New York cityscape. He skillfully manipulated the prism-like color effects created by the film's exposure, creating beautiful contrasts with the gray concrete and greenery of the city.

The haiku-like three-line poems accompanying the photographs express the beauty he found in the shoot. The shoot explores unconventional perspectives of the big city, from a small inner-city beach in the Dumbo district to the sea of rooftops in Brooklyn and an abandoned elevated freight line.

A behind-the-scenes video of the shoot has been released on the official website. In addition, a lookbook containing the visuals will be sold at MYKITA's official stores, eyewear stores and fashion boutiques.
