Mykita x Margiela's second collaboration features experimental diamond-shaped sunglasses

Dec 18, 2014

German eyewear brand MYKITA will release a collaborative sunglasses line with Maison Martin Margiela. This marks the second collaboration between the two brands, and just like this spring's collection, two items will be available: "ESSENTIAL" (56,500 yen) and "DUAL." Of these, the "ESSENTIAL" series will be released sequentially from mid-December at "MYKITA SHOP TOKYO" and other locations. The "DUAL" series is scheduled to be released from January.

The "ESSENTIAL" series is characterized by the texture of its stainless steel material. The frame is coated with a transparent powder coating and has a convex shape, giving it a pure and innovative look. Two models are available this time: an experimental diamond shape and a square navigator shape. In addition, new color variations of pink and dark gray will be added to existing models.

Meanwhile, two new "DUAL" models feature a complementary design, with one side partially concave and the other convex. The frame is made of acetate and will also be available in new color variations of brown/dark brown and teal/petrol.
