MYKITA releases new sunglasses in collaboration with Palm Angels, a book capturing skater street culture

Oct 3, 2014

Eyewear shop MYKITA has collaborated with Palm Angels, a book about the Los Angeles skateboarding scene, to release a new line of sunglasses.

Palm Angels focuses on Venice Beach and Manhattan Beach, two of the skater meccas. It features photographs capturing the local street culture and proposes an effortless skateboarding style inspired by the spirit of the films Dogtown & Z-Boys.

The Palm Angels edition sunglasses feature a pitch black finish with gold flash lenses. The slightly recessed lenses emphasize the frame, evoking the minimalist design of skateboards. The sunglasses offer protection from the sun and wind for comfortable skating, while maintaining a stylish form.

These sunglasses come with a canvas tote eyewear case featuring a palm leaf and illustrated logo, packaged in a black presentation box along with the sunglasses. Additionally, the set includes a signed photo of Palm Angels. In Japan, it will go on sale at MYKITA SHOP TOKYO in early October, priced at 69,000 yen.
