Eddy Anemian from France won the 2014 H&M Design Award. His winning design was recently presented in a show at Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week in Stockholm. In addition to a prize of 50,000 euros, he was given the opportunity to sell products based on his own collection in exclusive H&M stores in 12 countries this fall. Anemian is 24 years old and from France. He is a student at the Ecole nationale superieure des arts visuels of La Cambre in Brussels, Belgium, which has produced designers such as Cedric Charlier and Charles Anastase, and this year is his final year. His dream is to start his own brand. The title of the winning collection was "They Can Cut All The Flowers, They Cannot Keep Spring From Coming." Inspired by the film "I Am Love" and the work of French painter Dominique Ingres, the collection featured bold cuts of floral decorative fabric, reconstructed into streamlined forms, and a distinctive feature was the contrast between the waterproof fabric skirt pleats and the marble effect. The award-winning show was featured on H&M's official website and elsewhere.

Now in its third year, the H&M Design Award features as judges fashion designer Erdem, actress Michelle Dockery, style expert Michelle Harper, Vogue UK Executive Fashion Editor Serena Hood, as well as Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design, and Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor, from H&M's design team. Regarding Anemian's work, Johansson commented, "The romance of it when worn and the outstanding finishing skills when viewed up close. All the judges were captivated by both of these aspects. He is truly a shining new star in the fashion world of the future." Erdem said, "His work is absolutely fantastic. His weaving techniques are intriguing and the elegant silhouettes that result from them are also wonderful."
