H&M appoints Amber Valletta to its Conscious Collection and collaborates with Ever Manifesto

Dec 18, 2013

H&M has appointed American supermodel Amber Evangeline Valletta as the face of its Spring/Summer 2014 Conscious Collection.

The collection uses sustainable materials such as organic cotton, Tencel, and hemp. H&M has been promoting this material since 2008, and from 2010 to 2011, it became the world's largest user of organic cotton.

Furthermore, for its party wear line, "Conscious Exclusive Collection," launched last year, the brand collaborated with Ever Manifesto, a UK-based think tank that promotes sustainable fashion and design. The collection offers items with designs that mix flamenco and bohemian elements.

The Conscious Collection is available at all H&M stores, while the Conscious Exclusive Collection is only available at select stores in Japan. Both collections are scheduled to be released on April 10th, 2014.

In addition, a video of a conversation between Amber Valletta and Ever Manifesto is currently available on the H&M official Facebook page and other sites. You can also see behind the scenes footage of the shoot on the official Twitter page.
