The world's largest international trade fair for apparel fabrics and accessories, "Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics - Spring Edition 2014," will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center in China from March 3rd.
The fair will bring together a wide variety of apparel manufacturers, clothing material and accessory suppliers from European countries such as Italy, as well as Asian countries, primarily China, to exhibit their latest collections.
The Korean Pavilion, the largest among Asian countries, will feature over 50 exhibitors, co-organized by the Korea Fashion Textile Association and the Korea Textile Trade Association. The exhibits will focus on high-fashion fancy and functional materials.
The Taiwan Pavilion will feature over 40 exhibitors, showcasing high-quality cotton, denim, knitwear, wool-blend fabrics, and accessories. In the Japan zone, approximately 20 companies, including Takisada Nagoya, Toshima, and Chikuma, will exhibit the finest cottons and knitwear, the latest designs, and cutting-edge textile technologies. Following the success of the Fall 2013 exhibition, the India Pavilion will also be exhibiting for the first time. The Intertextile Trend Committee has set four themes to express the trends of SS15. Color, material, and print designs aligned with each of the themes—"Breathe," "Play," "Dance," and "Dive"—will be collected from exhibitors and presented at the Intertextile Direction Trend Forum. Additionally, the Fabric China Trend Forum, focusing on domestic Chinese trends, will propose designs under four themes: "Smart City," "Aesthetic Fantasy," "Midnight Palace," and "Fascinating Tribe."
