The "Textile Net" exhibition, a joint exhibition of 35 textile-related companies, will be held at Laforet Museum in Harajuku. It will run for two days, September 25th and 26th. This marks the third time the exhibition has been held, and will feature materials and products for the 2014 Spring/Summer season from fabric, auxiliary material, and textile-related companies, primarily exhibitors on the fabric and auxiliary material trading website "Textile Net." Exhibited products can also be ordered on-site through "Textile Net." The exhibition will also feature hands-on demonstrations of flocking and embroidery. The digital printing and original textile demonstration corner, which handles small lots, will offer a free sample printing service on-site for customers who bring their own data. The embroidery demonstration corner will offer a service to embroider names and motifs onto fabrics, handkerchiefs, T-shirts, and other products. Additionally, as part of a collaboration between the exhibition and creators, young designers will exhibit products made using products exhibited at the exhibition. Other exhibits will include a virtual fashion show and digital signage, showcasing fabrics created using IT technology. Free seminars on creative trends, product planning, and 3D printers will also be held, with the aim of revitalizing the textile industry by connecting textile-related companies with apparel creators. Registration is required for participation in the free seminars.
Textile Net is a trading website for fabrics and auxiliary materials aimed at apparel companies. Fabrics from multiple major textile trading companies can be ordered online, with 28 participating companies and 8,000 products currently available.
