Inditex, the Spanish-based group behind brands like ZARA, will begin rolling out its women's brand, Stradivarius, in Japan in April. The group plans to open seven to eight stores in the first year, kicking off Spring/Summer 2014 at LaLaport Koshien, followed by LaLaport TOKYO-BAY and a flagship store in Osaka. Four to five stores are planned for Autumn/Winter 2014-2015. Stradivarius, a sister brand of ZARA, is a Barcelona-based brand with over 870 stores in 57 countries. Its primary target audience is women in their late teens to 30s. While incorporating the latest trends like sports, botanical, and rock, the brand offers understated designs and easy-to-wear silhouettes for a wide range of women. It also offers a wide selection of accessories, including bags, shoes, and accessories. The price range is expected to be more reasonable than Zara, and closer to Bershka's. They are also planning to release special models exclusive to Japan.
The group currently operates "Zara" (Zara Japan), "Bershka" (Bershka Japan), and "Zara Home" (Zara Home Japan) in Japan.
