Mitsui Fudosan will be carrying out a large-scale renovation from March to April of this year as the second phase of its "Next Stage" plan, which will significantly enhance the facility's functions at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY in Funabashi, Chiba.

This time, 75 of the approximately 450 stores will be renovated. 65 stores, including 37 new stores, will open by March 14, and 10 stores, including nine new stores, will open by the end of April. Scandinavian general goods store Flying Tiger Copenhagen will open its first store in the shopping center, ZARA sister brand Stradivarius will open its first store in eastern Japan, and ZARA HOME, another ZARA lifestyle and interior goods store, will also open. The newest additions to Chiba include "417 by EDIFICE/ IENA SLOBE," a new urban select shop by the Baycruise Group, which also operates "SHIPS Days," a new lifestyle-oriented store by "SHIPS," and "JOURNAL STANDARD." The first store of "Boisson Chocolat," a shoe shop launched by United Arrows, will also be opening. California-based footwear brand "UGG Australia," "Free People," the first women's apparel brand on the East Coast of the United States, and "ISETAN MiRROR Make&Cosmetics," a cosmetics select shop produced by Isetan, will also be opening their first Chiba store. Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Tokyo Bay is currently implementing its Next Stage Plan, which will significantly enhance both the facility's physical and software functions by this summer. The West Wing opened in November of last year with the aim of "strengthening response to daily needs and family needs." As the third step, the former South Wing cinema complex will be renovated this summer as a new fashion and miscellaneous goods zone primarily targeting women in their early twenties.
