The name of the commercial building in the Bandai district of Niigata City's Chuo Ward, which Mitsui Fudosan is developing as part of the "(tentative name) Niigata Bandai 1-chome Project," has been decided to be "LoveLa2."
The building will house approximately 40 stores, including five new stores in Niigata Prefecture: fast fashion brands H&M and ZARA, ZARA's teen brand Bershka, and lifestyle brands UNITED ARROWS green label relaxing and URBAN RESEARCH DOORS. Completion and opening are scheduled for early November.
LoveLa2 will be built adjacent to the commercial facility "LoveLa Bandai" operated by Mitsui Fudosan. The two facilities will have a combined total of approximately 80 stores and an area of approximately 30,255 square meters (LoveLa2 is approximately 11,171 square meters). LoveLa Bandai and LoveLa2 will be connected by a bridge on the second floor.
Labra is a compound word made up of "love love," which is a slang term used by young people and means to be intimately in love with each other, and "burabura," which means to wander around. The name was chosen with the hope that "it will become a town where couples and families can stroll around."
Labra Bandai is a fashion building complex with specialty shops that opened in March 2007 on the site of the former Daiei Niigata store. It is home to apparel brands such as GAP, UNIQLO, and OLIVE des OLIVE, as well as Kinokuniya Bookstore, Loft, MUJI, and AEON.
