AMU PLAZA HAKATA & HAKATA DAITO to be renovated in March

Feb 20, 2014

To mark the third anniversary of the opening of JR Hakata City, the commercial facilities directly connected to Hakata Station, "Amu Plaza Hakata" and "Hakata Daitos," will renovate 97 of their 373 stores and reopen on March 1st.

The former fashion zone of Hakata Daitos will house a new floor, "Amu Est," targeting women in their 20s and Hakata Station users. The basement floor will feature the first Kyushu stores of Singaporean fast fashion brand "CHARLES & KIETH" and cosmetics brand "AVEDA." Based on the concept of "a place where you can have a little fun and discover your individuality," the mall will offer a collection of shops offering trendy fashion at affordable prices. The first floor will also feature the first Kyushu stores of gift shop "BIRTHDAY BAR" and "Garland of Dew," which sells accessories by independent artists, introducing a number of highly talked-about in-station retail formats. Hakata Daitos has also been renovated into a souvenir zone. Nihonichi, a locally produced goods and souvenir shop produced by Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, will be making its Kyushu debut, along with stores selling local specialties such as Hakata Sumiyoshi Sake Hanbai, which stocks Kyushu-produced alcoholic beverages and food, and Karashi Mentaiko Kaisen. Amu Plaza Hakata has renovated its 4th, 6th, and 7th floors. The 4th floor of the women's Urban Casual Zone will feature the Kyushu debut of N Natural Beauty Basic, which offers trendy real clothes, and The Virginia, which sells luxury quality real clothes. On the 6th floor of the "Adult Casual Style Zone," Point's new business concept, a multi-purpose select shop called "SQUOVAL," will be making its national debut, while West Coast lifestyle brand "BAYFLOW" and apparel brand "LIBRE MAISON," which makes the most of high-quality materials, will be opening their Kyushu debuts. On the 7th floor, which is aimed at parents, "Little House," a baby and kids select shop produced by Sasebo Tamaya, will open.
