
American apparel brand GUESS, which will return to Japan in Spring/Summer 2014, will open its first directly operated store on the 2.5th floor of Laforet Harajuku on February 22nd. GUESS Laforet Harajuku will sell women's and men's apparel, bags, watches, accessories, and more. Iconic advertising visuals from the brand will be displayed throughout the store, showcasing its unique worldview. A campaign to commemorate the opening will also be held. The first 100 customers who spend over 15,000 yen will receive a limited-edition novelty gift. A separate event is also planned for March 1st. Starting with Harajuku, the brand will begin full-scale expansion nationwide. GUESS Namba Parks will open on March 8th or 9th, followed by GUESS Canal City Hakata on March 15th. Both stores will feature 80% women's and 20% men's merchandise. The average price range for women's items is 7,000 to 12,000 yen for denim, 4,500 yen for cut and sew items, 12,000 yen for dresses, 14,000 yen for bags, and 12,000 to 28,000 yen for watches.
