Designer Kazuyuki Kumagai's brand, KAZUYUKI KUMAGAI, has opened its first pop-up shop at the International Creators section on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. It will be open until August 12th.
Thanks to its subdued colors and comfortable fit, KAZUYUKI KUMAGAI has seen a significant increase in sales on this floor in recent years. This season, the brand is particularly focused on realistic layered styles. According to the buyer in charge, "The brand adds stretch to men's fashion staples like tailored jackets and rider jackets to enhance their functionality, while also gaining popularity among customers for its sophisticated street fashion suitable for everyday wear."
The highlight of this time is the "Tiger Camo" textile, which combines camouflage and tiger prints. This textile features a horizontal pattern in tones of the same color. The same pattern is available in three colors: khaki, navy, and burgundy. The jacket (¥47,000) and shorts (¥27,000) are available. The jacket can be tailored or fastened with a hook at the chest to create a stand-up collar. The shorts can be layered with leggings for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. Other items include the ever-popular hooded coat (¥63,000 for long, ¥58,000 for short), a long cardigan made of brushed knit (¥48,000), and simple short boots and high-top sneakers. New this season are jodhpur pants. Available in a variety of silhouettes and colors, they add variety to a simple look. "Kazuyuki Kumagai offers an excellent balance of quality and price. Even customers used to wearing clothes from various brands seem to appreciate this balance, and sales have grown significantly over the past few seasons. Their affordability and ease of incorporating them into everyday styles are appealing," said the same buyer.
