Lexus holds foam-filled "NX" party at Tokyo Tower

Lexus released its first compact crossover SUV, the NX, this summer. Developed under the concept of "premium urban sports gear," the vehicle boasts sharp lines suited to urban use and a light, agile ride thanks to advanced engineering. To achieve precise handling and a comfortable ride, the vehicle also focuses on weight reduction through the effective use of aluminum, high-tensile steel, and hot-stamped materials. To celebrate the launch of the vehicle, a party event, "LEXUS NX AMAZING NIGHT," was held on August 26th at the STAR RISE TOWER adjacent to Tokyo Tower. Called by MC Chris Peppler, Lexus International President Tokuo Fukuichi took the stage first. While expressing his joy at the launch of the new model and hosting the party, Fukuichi commented, "Lexus is still a young company, so there aren't many 'storys' to tell. I hope that by making the car even more beloved by everyone, we can create stories that will last for generations to come." Furthermore, as an example of an anticipated episode, he shared his unique perspective: "I think it would be interesting if someone owned seven different colored Lexus vehicles and drove a different color on each day of the week."

Next, the "NX" TV commercial, which began airing on August 25th, was projected onto the large screens on both sides of the stage, and party attendees were captivated by the car's sharp driving as it sped through the screen.

In the "Shampoo Edition" commercial, we get a glimpse of the "NX" driving while covered in shampoo suds. After the commercial aired, a driving experience event was held, recreating the world of the commercial.

The driving experience took place in the Tokyo Tower parking garage. The outdoor driving area set up within the parking garage is compact, measuring just 136 meters in length, but it features 10 different elements, including a merry-go-round with changing lights and sounds and a ramp with a maximum tilt of 15 degrees, making it a fun course to enjoy. While diving into a large pool of foam, visitors can relive the driver's experience in the commercial. TeamLab was involved in the production.

Prior to participating in the test drive event, 2007 Miss Universe Mori Riyo stepped into the driving area. Reporting from Chris Peppler, who was connected via live broadcast, Mori was dressed in a glamorous outfit befitting the luxury car. The venue was instantly filled with excitement.

While participants took turns test driving, DJ Osawa Shinichi and VJ Maruno Yu performed at the venue. While enjoying the high-quality music and videos, some people were seen taking photos with the NX on display.
