Vivienne Westwood visits the Arctic with Greenpeace

Aug 20, 2014

Designer Vivienne Westwood visited the Arctic with the international environmental organization Greenpeace to assess the effects of climate change.

The visit will be featured in a documentary film due for release in 2015. Vivienne has been a long-time supporter of Greenpeace and is also involved in the "Save the Arctic" campaign, which aims to preserve the Arctic, home to rare animals, for future generations.

Vivienne is widely involved in environmental conservation activities, and in 2012 visited the Amazon rainforest with "Cool Earth," which supports the protection of endangered forests. Her 2014-15 AW collection also makes extensive use of deep green, a color that reflects her awareness of environmental conservation.
