Lucien Pellat-Finet held his first runway show in 23 years at his headquarters during the Fall/Winter 2017-18 Paris Men's Collection. Quoting Jean Cocteau's words, "Today's bad taste is tomorrow's sophistication," the show evoked images of 1990s Los Angeles. While sporty casual styles like hip-hop-style tracksuits and workwear-inspired blousons dominated the show, classic pieces like brocade jackets and coats, as well as tailored jackets, also featured, creating a luxuriously eclectic style. The brand's signature ironic touches were evident, including a long-sleeved T-shirt printed with the message "Enjoy ganja," reminiscent of a soft drink brand's trademark, and a T-shirt printed with the word "Pharmacie" and a marijuana leaf, Lucien Pellat-Finet's signature code. In addition to items in collaboration with New York graffiti artist John Matos, known as Crush, the show also featured intarsia knitwear with a motif of the 3D animated film character Minions. The simple bag that appeared at the beginning of the show was a collaboration with the long-established Parisian bag brand MORABITO.
