Diesel has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2017 advertising campaign, "MAKE LOVE NOT WALLS." The campaign aims to tear down the walls that separate people, both mentally and physically, and unite people from all walks of life in the name of "unity and love." The campaign was directed by renowned American artist and photographer David LaChapelle. Using communication platforms such as advertisements and videos created by Anomaly Amsterdam, LaChapelle literally smashes down walls. In the video, Diesel's Love Tank smashes a "wall," a symbol of the division between people, into a heart shape. The tank, a tool of war, is reborn with a new message: a symbol of hope. The story unfolds as the wall, a symbol of division, is filled with flowers celebrating freedom and love, transforming into a place of happiness. The visuals weave a powerful story that unfolds around the wall.
The rainbow-coloured inflatable tank that symbolises the advertising campaign will make its debut in London on February 14th, before travelling to Milan, Shanghai, New York, Berlin and Tokyo, spreading a message of love.
