mintdesigns' special exhibition, "mintdesigns / graphic & textile works 2001-2017," will be held at Creation Gallery G8 in Ginza, Tokyo.

This exhibition reconstructs the production background and idea sources of the "MATERIAL DICTIONARY" exhibition held in Nagoya and Fukuoka last year in a new installation format. Based on the brand's original concept of "establishing fashion as a form of product design," the brand has expanded the scope of fashion design and continued to convey the appeal of design. The exhibition will use three spaces in the gallery to express the brand's worldview. The exhibition will allow visitors to fully experience the brand's lifework, "wearable graphics."

mintdesigns was founded in 2001 by designers Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi. Characterized by textiles featuring bold, rich colors and unique, graphic motifs, the group has held solo exhibitions both in Japan and abroad, and collaborated with other industries such as miscellaneous goods, furniture, and Japanese sweets, working beyond the boundaries of fashion.
