
Green Bean to Bar Chocolate, a bean-to-bar specialty store in Nakameguro, Tokyo, will release its White Day chocolate "VARIOUS HEART" on February 18th.
For White Day 2017, the theme is "ARIOUS HEART - Various Forms of Love," and the store will be releasing chocolates that express special feelings for loved ones, family, and friends. One of the chocolates, "BERRY HEART-Strawberry&Pistachio" (1,800 yen), is a chocolate bar made with Tanzanian cocoa beans, known for their juicy, fruity, and tart flavor. It is topped with freeze-dried strawberries, known for their mild, mellow flavor, and pistachios, which have a delightful texture. The contrast between the berry color and green makes this a gorgeous piece that is also pleasing to the eye. Another chocolate bar, "KIND HEART-Pineapple & Coconut" (1,800 yen), features a gentle flavor created by blending chocolate made from Dominican and Tanzanian cocoa beans with milk. It's topped with fresh, tart dried pineapple and coconut. Also available is an assortment of bonbon chocolates (4 pieces for 1,800 yen, 9 pieces for 4,050 yen, 18 pieces for 8,100 yen). It comes in three flavors: ganache made with citrus fruits like basil and sudachi; praline with textures like cinnamon, almond, and pistachio; and ganache made with orange, raspberry, and lemon. The packaging features a calming green color scheme and a design of many overlapping hearts. It expresses the desire for customers to relax and enjoy chocolate with all five senses.
