MUJI U.S.A. LIMITED, a member of the Ryohin Keikaku Group, will open its US flagship store, MUJI Hollywood, in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles on December 14th.
MUJI Hollywood will open in the Hollywood Galaxy Shopping Center, a commercial facility in Hollywood. It will have a sales floor area of 800 square meters. It will be the first US store to carry food such as sweets, coffee and tea leaves, and retort pouches, and will stock a total of 3,000 items, including MUJI Labo, clothing made with high-quality materials and carefully designed, and Found MUJI, which introduces "good things" that have been used around the world. Starting with MUJI SOHO, which opened in SoHo, New York City in November 2007, the Ryohin Keikaku Group currently operates seven stores in the United States, including a store on the first floor of the New York Times Building in Times Square. MUJI SOMA, the first store on the West Coast, opened last November, and MUJI Hollywood will be the eighth store in the United States.
