Fukue's "Artigiano" bag line now available at Tokyu Hands

Dec 4, 2013

Fukue, a bag manufacturer, will begin selling its original brand, "artigiano," at Tokyu Hands' Shibuya, Tokyo, and Hakata locations in mid-December. The products sold at Tokyu Hands are three styles: tote bags, body bags, and shoulder bags, all crafted from genuine leather. Available in two colors: hand-dyed camouflage and a Tokyu Hands-exclusive navy blue. The tote bags are crafted from cowhide, while the body and shoulder bags are crafted from horsehide, both of which are tanned in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, a leather-producing region. All stitching is done at the company's own domestic factory. The cowhide used for the tote bags is soft, but a urethane coating adds a firm, supple feel. The horsehide used for the body and shoulder bags is renowned for its firmness and light weight. The tote bags are priced at ¥30,450, the body bags at ¥13,125, and the shoulder bags at ¥22,575.

In recent years, Fukue has been strengthening its development capabilities with its own brand "Artigiano," and this summer it released a 28-ounce heavy-ounce denim bag in collaboration with Kuroki, a global denim fabric manufacturer. It will continue to develop products in collaboration with fabric manufacturers in the future.
