MUJI at Shibuya Seibu expands significantly. Cafe and first fashion advisor available.

Nov 6, 2013
The MUJI store inside Seibu Shibuya will be undergoing a remodel and reopening in late November as a larger store featuring a Cafe & Meal MUJI where customers can enjoy meals and tea. The new store will be significantly expanded from its pre-renovation floor space of 620m² to 2,000m², making it the second-largest store in Tokyo after the Yurakucho store. The floor space will span from one basement floor to five aboveground floors. The new store will offer expanded furniture displays, interior design advisors, the opening of MUJI LABO, one of the largest selections in Tokyo, including items exclusive to the city center store, the brand's first fashion advisors to provide coordination consultations, an expanded children's clothing selection, and a children's play area. The new store will offer a comprehensive range of MUJI products and experiences. Customization services will also be enhanced, including printing and embroidery on fabric products, a stationery stamp service, and a selection of 48 essential oils.

MUJI Seibu Shibuya Store has been a store that has sold MUJI since the brand's inception. The Shibuya area was the location of the first standalone street-level store to open in 1983, but there had been no large-scale stores in the area.
