MUJI's global flagship store for "MUJI to GO," a travel-themed product category, will open on March 21st in KITTE Marunouchi, Japan Post's first commercial facility. The flagship store will feature a standalone project called "WHERE to GO." Each month, a person from a country or field will be selected to represent "that person's journey" on a tabletop, centered around their belongings. MUJI to GO is a curated collection of over 7,000 items perfect for travel and transportation. It debuted in MUJI flagship stores in 2008 and opened its own store at Hong Kong International Airport in March of the same year. Since then, the brand has expanded globally, with six stores primarily located at international airports in Japan and five stores located around international airports and international railway terminals in five countries. MUJI to GO Marunouchi is the 12th store.
Kitte, Japan Post's first commercial facility, will occupy seven floors from the basement to the sixth floor of the JP Tower, which was built while preserving and restoring parts of the former Tokyo Central Post Office building. It will feature 98 shops and restaurants under the concept of "Feel Japan." Its grand opening is scheduled for March 21st.
